Many Anglican, Protestants, Evangelicals and others struggle with any prayer to Mary, the Mother of Our Lord, Jesus. If you look at the following prayers, they are written as if TO one of one's own deceased relatives. As we ask one another to keep us in their prayers, many of us intercede to Mary. This is the same as the Wedding at Cana. Mary knew the Bride's father needed miraculous help. Mary went to her Son to assist. And we all know that request, as all others from His mother, was met with miraculous intervention on Jesus's part. Many of these prayers were taken solely or partially from Bible.

Magnificat My soul doth magnify the Lord. And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me; and holy is his name. And his mercy is from generation unto generations, to them that fear him. He hath shewed might in his arm: he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart. He hath put down the mighty from their seat, and hath exalted the humble. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He hath received Israel his servant, being mindful of his mercy: As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed for ever.
The Angelus The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners now and at the Hour of Our Death. Behold the handmaid of the Lord Be it done unto me according to thy word. Hail Mary... And the Word was made Flesh. And dwelt among us. Hail Mary... Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Hail Mary... Oremus (Let Us Pray) Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that, we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, Was made known by the message of an Angel, May by His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known That any one who fled to your* protection, implored your help Or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, But in your clemency hear and answer me. Amen. * 'Thy' may be used in place of you/your

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
