May this Grace and Peace of the Risen Lord be with you this day and always. Thank you for visiting Rev. Mother Katherine Mary Martin, OSA and her home on the 'net.  As a founding member of the Community of Peace Chapter,Order of St. Alcuin, Mother attempts to live a life that is Sacramental, Liturgical and Eucharistic. The Community is traditional but not "tradition" bound. The disbursed (we do not all live together in a Monastery) Third Order Benedictine Community strives to be the ancient, undivided Church to a divisive and chaotic world.  Our Order is includes both lay and clergy, male and female, married and single.

By the daily living out of our Baptismal Promises, our inreach and outreach is to address issues of peace and justice in a prayerful, Christ-centered manner. The Community of Peace is a Third Order (does not live in a Monastery) Benedictine (lives by a modified Rule of St. Benedict) Community whose ministry rejoices in the "culture of life".  Mother's ministries all surround the importance of Christian formation of children and family. All eminate from prayer with one of the  primary ministries being Grandmas At Prayer .  Mother, as many members of the Anglican Communion Network - USA, especially the Children and Youth Initiative, strive to acknowledge and empower Multi-Generaltional Family Faithfulness. This concept will be explores more in depth at a later time in subsequent pages. The Community has formed a Chapter and Mother is a Life Coordinator of Anglicans for Life (formerly NOEL).

The Order of St.Alcuin offers many opportunities to join in the monastic lifestyle of balance, moderation, stability, conversion (from fear to love) and intercession. It is her deeply held belief that  the tried and true Monastice Rhythm of the Rule of St. Benedict relates to individuals, couples, families or communities perfectly. We have Professed Members in many states and several overseas countries. While not all Canonically Resident, the Order of St. Alcuin in a religious Order of CANA (The Convocation of Anglicans in North America), Anglican Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion. Our Beloved Abbot, Abbot Peter Riola, OSA lives and works in Minnesota. Mother serves as Director of Formation for the Order.
